First the news that Roselyn is confirmed to be reappear as Agent Isabella Molina in Rush Hour 3, and now she has landed the female lead in new Disney film, "The Game Plan" opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the family comedy centres on a professional quarterback accustomed to the bachelor lifestyle who discovers he has a 7-year-old daughter after an ex-girlfriend dies. Sanchez will play the child's ballet teacher and the eventual love interest of Johnson's character. Filming begins June 26th in Boston, US.

Sanchez Returns to Puerto Rican Roots
"Kojak" and "Rush Hour 2" star Roselyn Sanchez
is set to co-write, produce and star in "Yellow," an independent feature set to
shoot in the actress' native Puerto Rico.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alfredo De Villa ("Washington Heights")
will direct "Yellow," which was based on a story by Sanchez and Nacoma Whobrey,
scripted by Whobrey.
"Yellow" focuses on a woman haunted by the death of her father and co-stars Bill
Duke ("Karen Sisco"), D.B. Sweeney ("The Cutting Edge"), Sully Diaz, Jaime
Tirelli and Manny Perez.
Sanchez, whose feature credits include "Boat Trip" and "Chasing Papi,"
will next be seen in "Underclassman" and "Edison." The 35-year-old actress is
also joining the cast of CBS' highly rated procedural "Without a Trace" for its
upcoming season. She's previously been seen on the small screen in "Dragnet,"
"Ryan Caulfield: Year One" and "Fame LA."

Sanchez promoting hair products
Roselyn Sánchez, who plays an assistant district attorney on the crime-drama remake Kojak, is gearing up to prove she's not just another pretty face -- she also has great hair.
The Puerto Rican actress will be the spokeswoman for a new line of hair products specifically designed for Latin women, the Spanish newswire Agencia EFE reports.
No word on the name of the products or when they'll be available, the report said, but Sánchez is officially on board. In addition to her role on Kojak, Sánchez will be starring in The Underclassmen with singer-actor Nick Cannon and in Pool Hall Prophets with Freddie Prinze Jr. sometime next year, the report said.

Looks like actress Roselyn Sánchez's relationship with salsa singer Victor Manuelle is still going strong, reports The Associated Press, after she took the stage at one of his shows Saturday.
Before a full house in Puerto Rico, the couple danced while Manuelle sang Si me preguntan (If They Ask Me). When the song ended, the crowd began chanting, ``Kiss her, kiss her.''
It was unclear whether the couple appeased fans or not, but that wasn't the only emotional moment of the night.
Manuelle then burst into Vivo orgulloso (I Live Proud) as a slide show of his family played overhead on big screens. Manuelle's father, who was in the front row, was shown with tears running down his cheeks.

Sanchez Prepares for Perfect Sleep
Actress Roselyn Sanchez signs on to an ensemble drama that marks the directorial debut of Sideways location manager Jeremy Alter.
English-language stardom has long been predicted for Hispanic actress Roselyn Sanchez, who burst onto the scene in Rush Hour 2 and has since starred in films such as Boat Trip, Basic and the 20th Century Fox experiment Chasing Papi. Now, along with the thriller The Underclassmen, the high-profile biopic Edison starring Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman, and the Freddie Prinze Jr. project Poolhall Prophets, the 34-year-old former beauty queen is adding an independent feature to the mix.
The Perfect Sleep, a neo-noir drama from Unified Pictures, co-stars Patrick Bauchau, Tony Amendola, Isaac Singleton, Peter Lucas and newcomer Anton Pardoe, and follows the lives of various people imprisoned by their past and moving toward an uncertain future. Writer-director Jeremy Alter, a veteran location manager of films such as Sideways, The Last Shot, Anchorman, Liar, Liar and The Nutty Professor, previously helmed the 1999 satirical short film The Godson.
“My first job in English was As The World Turns,” recalled Sanchez during a recent interview with FilmStew. “My English was very limited, I learnt the lines phonetically. I worked with a speech coach every day for a year, and then after that I came here to audition for Fame L.A., got it, left the soap opera to come here to work.”
“I thought things would become easier after that, but no,” she continued. “That was my reality check, this is going to be harder than I thought. Then I booked another TV show for fox, Ryan Caufield, I was the only female; it got canceled, back to nothing. So Rush Hour 2 really changed my life.”
The former Miss Puerto Rico Petite and Miss America Petite, first seen as the ‘Island Girl’ in Captain Ron, has also just completed the Spanish-language production Cayo, in which she plays the lead role of Young Julia.

The 2004 Cielo Latino Awards
Special recognition awards were bestowed on Roselyn Sanchez, Lupe
Ontiveros and India in a ceremony on May 26th at the famous Copacabana Club in
New York City. The Latino Commission on AIDS is a nonprofit organization
dedicated to improving health services to the Latino community. The commission
was founded in 1990 in response to the impact of AIDS in the Latino community.
The exciting evening of fundraising and entertainment began with a silent auction and cocktail reception. The Latin stars steamed in for their photo ops, with La India arriving last due to traffic problems. Renoly Santiago opened up the musical portion of the show and the presentations followed. Roselyn Sanchez - Puerto Rican film and television actress, singer and former model - received the ILKA Award, named in honor of Ilka Tanya Payan, the civic leader who passed away from AIDS in 1996. Roselyn renewed her dedication to the cause.
Lupe Ontiveros, actress and community activist, received the Rosie Perez Fuerza (Strength) Award for her advocacy on behalf of AIDS prevention. Rosie Perez presented this award and joked about having an award named on her behalf.
Last, but certainly not least, Grammy award nominee and salsa sensation India also received the ILKA award for her support of the Latino Commission on AIDS. Kamar De Los Reyes (actor, "One Life to Live") and Rosie Perez both gave heartfelt speeches about their dedication to the cause, and remembered friends and colleagues lost to the disease.
During the presentations, instead of the usual "moment of silence," patrons were encouraged to "Get loud and make noise" to show their support of the cause. The packed house happily obliged and the party began as India took to the stage weaving her salsa magic.

actress Roselyn Sánchez for their "Verano al Ritmo de Corona" ("Summer to
the Rhythm of Corona") event. The July-September promotion takes place in Miami,
New York City, D.C., Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and Philadelphia, and includes a

- Mambo Magic - Viva Puente! April 21, 2003, The spirit of Tito Puente was certainly in the house of Avery Fisher Hall this April evening. A star-studded tribute to the late great Tito Puente brought out such Latin
luminaries as Jimmy Smits (the evening's host), Jon Secada, Domingo Quinonez, Melina Leon, Sheila E. and Roselyn Sanchez. Sprinkled throughout the evening were anecdotes
about how Tito Puente influenced the lives of so many, but the night was all about the music. Pulsating salsa tunes and gyrating dancers dominated the evening, much to the delight
of the Latin/Anglo audience. Highlights of the evening, which garnered standing ovations, were Jon Secada's rousing rendition of the infamous "Oye Como Va" (accented by flutist
Dave Valentin), numbers by Sheila E. and Roselyn Sanchez (recently appearing in the movie "Chasing Papi"), who both tore up the stage with their unique Latin styles.

Roselyn co hosts huge dance event
Wednesday,
March 19th, 2003 DanceStar USA: The American Dance Music Awards has
announced acclaimed Hollywood actress Juliette Lewis and Latin screen sensation
Roselyn Sanchez as the hosts for The Second Annual American Dance Music Awards
set for Wednesday March 19th on the sands of Miami Beach, Florida.
Lewis is best known for her Oscar nominated role in Cape Fear and stunning
performance in Natural Born Killers. Lewis also featured in the infamous Daft
Punk Gap television advertising campaign. She will join the new Latin bombshell
Roselyn Sanchez, who most recently starred in Rush Hour 2 alongside Jackie Chan.
The Puerto Rican-born 'It' girl of the Latino stage and screen is being hailed
as the new J-Lo and is certain to leave the Miami audience hypnotized with her
seductive good looks. Sanchez is destined to steal the movie spotlight in March
with roles in Basic alongside John Travolta and Boattrip starring Cuba Gooding
Jr.
Both hosts will join a multitude of live acts including a performance from Dirty
Vegas, who are nominated for five award categories including Best Album and
Record of the Year. Oscar G and Ralph Falcon will perform their massive hit
single 'Dark Beat' featuring OBA Frank Lord, with additional performances by iio
and DJ Sammy - one of the biggest selling album artists in dance music history.
More acts will be announced over the next few weeks.
Recent Grammy winner and last year's DanceStar USA host Roger Sanchez leads the
presenters lineup together with Paul Van Dyk, DJ Tiesto, Danny Tenaglia, Deep
Dish, Pete Tong, The Crystal Method, BT, George Acosta, Josh Wink, Christopher
Lawrence, Jellybean Benitez, Kristine W, Oscar G & Ralph Falcon and Louie Devito.
A total of twenty-six awards will be presented including accolades for new
categories such as 'Best Use of Music in a Commercial', 'Best Movie Soundtrack'

Roselyn Stars in R'n'B Music Video!
Roselyn is currently the star of British R'n'B superstar Craig David's latest
music video. The video for the latest single Hidden Agenda, taken off the
album Slicker than your Average, was filmed in Mexico and sees Roselyn as
the beautiful, popular hometown girl and unknowing girlfriend of a no-good
cheat, but it all ends happily when in steps lovesick Craig David to see she

Roselyn Sings in ABC television special!
ABC
recently invited a host of stars recently invited a host of stars to perform on
their television special Discoball, a celebration of everything disco,
and it was all for charity! Legendary disco stars and some of today's biggest
names performed an array of classics to a 3,500 strong audience recorded at the
shrine auditorium in Los Angeles. Roselyn, singing live for the first time on
television, gave a rendition of the huge disco hit Hot Stuff.

and the Latin Grammies
Roselyn appeared at the third annual Latin Grammies, performing a 'lively skit'
with Carlos Vives, as an English teacher, at the Kodak theatre, in Hollywood,
California. It has just been announced that this year's Latin Grammy's will be
broadcast by CBS on American television, and possible host cities include New
York, Miami, Los Angeles, and San Juan, Puerto Rico (- Roselyn's home town!!)

-Roselyn to co-host charity concert
Third Eye Blind will be the headliner of the final night of the trio of Silver
Lining Silver Lake concerts, set to benefit a Los Angeles-area free health
clinic. The group will play December 15 at the Hollywood Palladium on a bill
that also includes Jaguares, and Becky; plus hosts Benicio Del Toro, Roselyn
Sanchez, and Lucy Liu. Tickets are $100. They go on sale November 17
at Ticketmaster locations as at the event's official website (silverliningsilverlake.com).
Cancelled
(for the 15th only) as headline act for the evening Third Eye Blind were no
longer able to make the performance!
The other two concerts take place at the Paramour estate in the hills of Silver
Lake. The show on December 13 features Elton John, Sting, Daniel Lanois, Deborah
Falconer, the Nortec Collective's Bostich, and hosts Robert Downey Jr. (news -
web sites) and Christina Ricci. The December 14th show includes the Red Hot
Chili Peppers, Jaguares, Aimee Mann, Jurassic 5, DJ Keoki, Norton Wisdom, and
hosts Johnny Knoxville, Tony Hawk, Kelly Slater, Ione Skye, and Adam Carolla.
Tickets for the first two shows, currently on sale, are $250, $500, and $1000.
Proceeds from all shows benefit the Hollywood-Sunset Free Clinic. The clinic has
offered free health care for Los Angeles residents since 1968 and has long been
considered an important part of a working-class community that counts more than
73 percent of its residents living below the poverty line. However, it recently
lost its civic funding.

It was recently announced that Roselyn will be the new spokesperson for the soft drink Mountain Dew, she has in fact become the new spokesperson for the Pepsi soft drink Sierra Mist ! A commercial featuring her was been shot, so keep a look out for her on your television in the near future!

Roselyn Sanchez in Talks to Take Starring Role in Action-Packed Western
LOS ANGELES--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 14, 2001--
Viridian Entertainment has acquired Guns and Roses an action-packed,
contemporized western set in the 1800s, written and to be directed, by Jean
Claude La Marre (Go For Broke, Higher Ed), and is in early negotiation with
Roselyn Sanchez (Rush Hour 2) to star in the film which is set to begin lensing
early February 2002, it was announced today by Jeremy W. Barber, president of
Catch 23 Entertainment.
Darryl Taja, senior vice president, Talent and Literary Management at Catch 23
Entertainment, will produce Guns and Roses along with La Marre. Viridian
Entertainment's Gerald Green will executive produce and singer-actor Bobby Brown
will co-produce. Hip-hop music producer Eric B. is executive producing the
soundtrack.
Guns and Roses, a slick, modern interpretation of the classic spaghetti western
utilizing contemporary vernacular, centers on five multi-racial, sexy, female
gunslingers who must rid a town of deadly outlaws in an attempt to avenge a
murder and find missing treasure.
Sanchez, slated to play a smart, knife-wielding bounty hunter, driven by the
possibility of riches, exploded onto the scene starring opposite Chris Tucker
and Jackie Chan in the wildly successful, action-comedy, Rush Hour 2, which
grossed more than $225 million domestically. She will next topline Boat Trip
opposite Cuba Gooding Jr. and recently signed a television development and
production deal with ABC. Sanchez, the new spokesperson for Pepsi's Sierra Mist,
is currently in Brazil shooting a new campaign with famed commercial and music
video helmer Nigel Dick.
Unfortunately nothing more seems to have come from this story, therefore whether
Roselyn will star in this film is still unknown, however due to her already very
busy schedule i'm not sure that she will be taking on this role.
